Why are humans still waging war upon each other? Money, land, religion, revenge?? Whatever our reasons, when we listen to this beautiful song by John Lennon, and view the tragic, haunting images in this clip of those maimed and killed by our (continuing) wars, especially the images of children, it makes me question the idea that we, humans, can truly call ourselves civilized or humane? Let's make 2012 the beginning of significant change. Where compassion, charity, negotiation and diplomacy bring improvement and peace to our world. Life is far too precious for us to continue living, and killing, as we have.
