Tonight on ABC Four Corners - The Real Story behind the Live Export of Animals

TUNE IN TONIGHT to discover why the live export industry is in damage control as Four Corners prepares to feature never-before seen footage from Animals Australia's Indonesian live export investigation.

Bill, a beautiful white Brahman steer, was born and bred into Australian care on a cattle property in Australia's 'top end' — yet our paths were to cross in Indonesia. Bill had followed the journey of more than 6 million cattle before him, sent by Australia's live export trade to Indonesia — one of the many live export destinations with no enforceable animal protection laws.

While Animals Australia has conducted many investigations in the Middle East, this was the first time we had been to Indonesia.

What my co-investigator and I documented nightly during this investigation was beyond anything we had anticipated. But it was the story of one animal — Bill, and what he revealed to us — that will stay with me forever.

At 8:30PM tonight, Bill's story will be told on Australia's most respected current affairs program, Four Corners. This is a program not to be missed.

Immediately following tonight's program, RSPCA Australia will be joining forces with Animals Australia to give Bill and other animals the strongest representation possible in a united campaign to demand an end to live exports. Please join us at BanLiveExport.com after the show to ensure that Bill's story becomes the catalyst for change.

This landmark investigation would never have been possible without the faith and generosity of our members and donors. It is thanks to you that Bill's story can now be told. For Bill's sake, and that of the thousands of cattle currently grazing peacefully on Australian properties, please watch this important program.

This youtube video shows the invaluable help that animal rescue groups are doing in Japan. The Japanese government is trying to stop animal welfare groups going into the exclusive zone to save animals left behind because of the natural disasters and the ongoing nuclear incident. Any support, financial or otherwise, you can give this group would be greatly appreciated! Check out Japanese Earthquake Animal Rescue Group on facebook.

Should YouTube Have Banned This Animal Cruelty Investigation Video? | WebProNews

Should YouTube Have Banned This Animal Cruelty Investigation Video? | WebProNews

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding this video focussing on an animal cruelty investigation. Maybe we should be more appalled that such animal cruelty goes on in the world, not that this video exists? If we do not know about such barbaric, inhumane treatment of animals, are not given the evidence, how are things to change and improve? It is when videos are shown on the internet that glorify cruelty there should be real concerns. The film clip of GoDaddy CEO taking great pleasure in killing an elephant (and a leopard) would be a case in point.
